Emma Rossiter is Deputy Headteacher at Rowdeford School. Emma provides expert training and support about the strategies that enable young people to overcome their challenges and achieve their potential. Emma is an outstanding practitioner and experienced trainer with expertise in both mainstream and specialist settings. Emma’s training is inspiring, reflective and practical.

This session is designed to inspire you to understand your role in supporting students with a range of needs. It will give you key information about the main features of common special educational needs and the top strategies that you can use in your setting every day to truly make a difference. This will enable you to empower students to overcome their own barriers and optimise their academic, social and emotional progress.

This twilight session will further your knowledge of:

  • The impact of Autistic Spectrum Disorders, Attachment Difficulties, Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder,Dyslexia and other learning difficulties on behaviour for learning.
  • Practical strategies to resolve difficult behaviours.

You will also receive information resources to share with colleagues to maximise the impact of this training in your setting.

For SENCos, teachers from all settings, ELSAs, HLTAs, teaching assistants and anyone supporting young people in an educational setting.
